Van Riper was where we stopped to eat lunch. It was a small lake compared to Superior, but the water was much warmer!
There were huge swings right on the beach!
We saw this adorable, foreign looking rodent, and a google search revealed that it was a Thirteen-lined ground squirrel! They stand up like prairie dogs, but are smaller.
This was one of or top three favorite parks, and we could have easily spent the day here! They even had a little ice cream shop!
After lunch, we hopped in the car with Emily at the wheel!
