78 Michigan Parks: Indian Lake State Park #13

Stop 16. [End day 3]

Our final state park of the trip was Indian Lake.  It is not far from Palms Book, but is a little way from the bridge.

Billy was driving, and the second the tires hit gravel, he voiced concern.  We never made it to the lake proper, but did find a really cool wooden bridge which afforded all sorts of photo opportunities! 

The water was really clear, was it runoff from Kitch-iti-kipi?

Another recommendation was Clyde's in St. Ignace.  Knowing that we wouldn't make their closing time, we stopped at the one in Manistique!

The food was good, they missed my order though, so I ended up being the last one to eat.  At least I had my milkshake!  While we were here, the day turned cold, and we all ended up in long sleeves!

We made it across the bridge before dark!  But it was still late when we made it to our Airbnb.  After unloading the car, it was a pretty short stretch until bedtime for all.

The next morning, my mom got William and the twins up, and they went swimming at the club house! Another, bigger, "Baylor" Bear!

This was the least 'cabiny' place we stayed, but there was still a deer munching in the front yard the next morning!

Billy and William had time for a few rounds on the arcade machine.

We had to check out by 10, and this was the only stay that we were even close to the checkout time! The rest of the day was unplanned, and we headed south, looking for one more adventure before going home. Back on the road home!

This shot took me a minute, because I feel like Juliet looks so much like me in it!!!!

I am so happy to have so many state parks checked off, and to have seen such an array of the beauty Michigan has to offer in the summer! The map is definitely half full at this point!
