Stop 2.
Our next stop took us up toward Sault St. Marie. The park was not all the way to the city, but it is where I had planned to get my oil changed. So, we got gas, had the oil changed, were given a free car wash ticket, which we immediately used (since we won't be back in the area for a long time!) then headed to Brimley State Park!
This park was meant for swimming! So, Avia and the kids went to change while Billy and I dug the chairs out of the car. I don't know what I was thinking, sticking them all the way underneath, but they did not go back there when we reloaded!
William didn't want to swim, and we couldn't find the 'fishing' area, so he ate on his lunch.
Alice didn't think that she would want to swim, so didn't bring her suit, and absolutely should have brought her suit. The water was chilly, but the temperature was in the 90s, so felt pretty good for Lake Superior!
Avia found an abandoned toy for William, but we decided to go explore other parts of the park.
I beat him to the slide, so I got to go down first! It was hot and I kept sticking to it though. lol.
William had a better ride, but even he stuck on the curve!
Avia found a 'Baylor' bear!
I can't picture what they put up around all the open windows that would block enough of the cold to make this fireplace useful, but it appears to have been used!
William wanted to explore the enrichment center.

All told, we spent probably an hour and a half at this park, the girls enjoyed the water, and the sand was soft! I would recommend this park to someone if they were coming to this area!
