78 Michigan Parks: JW Wells State Park #10

Stop 14.

JW Wells is not near much of anything, but it was a nice park. Emily did a great job getting us there.

The southernmost park of the UP!

After a long, rushed day 2, we slowed way down at this park.  The kids and Avia went swimming in the Bay of Green, we had lunch, and we just relaxed for a little while.

The parking lot was a little bit of a walk from the beach, but I liked how this shelter, which was attached to the bathroom, framed the path back.

Leaving this park, Alice was our driver, and as we headed back toward civilization, stopped so that I could snap a picture of the Pat's foods price tag, which also had the UP outline on it.  Oh, those yoopers.

We were still in the Central Time Zone, and losing an hour was going to make crossing the bridge in the daylight even trickier, so we decided to skip out on Fayette Historical State park.  Should we return, it will add an entire hour to the trip, but we just didn't have the time this trip.  I do feel like we fit in just about everything we could though!
