Our Favorite Emily turned fifteen at the beginning of the month!!!
Everyone managed to get up for school ten minutes early (or an hour and ten minutes in the twins' case) so that we could have birthday cake for breakfast!
Emily wanted to make her own cake this year, and she wanted it to be orange cake with whipped topping and pudding frosting. She did a nice job, but it had to go on a plate, instead of the cake stand, because the cake stand won't fit in the refrigerator, and it needed to be refrigerated, unlike the chocolate cakes.
She had time to open all of her gifts even!
Each year I reflect on what privilege it is to get to spend so much time with this exceptional young lady! Can't wait to see what the next year brings!
