The day after our trip to Country Mill, Billy wanted to go canoeing on our river. Since we've missed at least two summers in a row, I said okay, lets go!
Alice didn't want to go, so we were short one. Sadly, they were recommending against canoes, because the river was so low. We ended up with three kayaks instead! It was around $100 for the three boats.
I had my phone in a waterproof lanyard case, so I wasn't sure how the pictures would turn out. Thankfully, this was the worst of it.

My kayak partner was Grace! Juliet and Emily were also together, and Billy and William made up the third boat.
The river was quite low! Billy and William got stuck, so Grace and I went back so that she could rescue them. I didn't want to get out of the boat, in case she floated off and couldn't get back to me.
Grace to the rescue!

It was a perfect day for it! The day was sunny, but the temperatures were not too hot. The drips of the water from the oars felt good. = ) Grace and I were the last ones to arrive back at the rental store, because we mostly floated, with a little bit of paddling. It was most enjoyable. = )
We saw cranes and ducks and geese!
Hopefully Billy feels fulfilled, and we are good for another couple of years.
