Emily has loved color guard this year! She's all smiles, even when being dropped off for practice! Her favorite time though, has most definitely been the Friday night football games. Band doesn't travel with the football team here, so each week, the band plays the opponents' fight song at the start of the game. With only four home games this year, Emily is soaking up the fun!
Game 1: They won!
This was a windy and chilly game, so coats were worn intermittently.
Game 2: Homecoming, they lost. = (
This game was much warmer, no one really needed their jackets.
I've volunteered to work the past two games, because last year I worked a game for Alice and a band camp day. When it was Emily's turn for band camp, I had to cancel my volunteer slot, because we left for Poland, so she got two football games. = ) I will admit, I do enjoy being down on the track with my Emily and her friends!
