Country Mill

October is upon us, and we still hadn't been to take pictures at the Country Mill!  I decided that we could manage the first Sunday of Fall Break, so we headed that way, and they were packed!!!

After parking, I was ready to take pictures, but only got in a few before Billy fussed at us to get out of the parking lot, but the flowers were so pretty!

Emily found a flower on the ground, and wanted it in her picture.

So, here we are in front of a shed, instead of a beautiful green background.  Booo!

I'm not sure we've ever taken a picture with the giant apple!?!

We decided to skip the wagon ride, and opted for the apple cannon and corn maze instead.

Emily's was the only one that I caught in motion!

The corn maze was supposed to take around and hour, and it did!  The path was pretty worn, so it was easy to avoid most of the, very short, dead ends.  Somehow, we ran into William several times, despite the path being fairly straight foward.

The early exit was on the same side as the traditional exit, but Billy was midway through reading the story of Jack and the Cornstalk, so we continued through the field.

Our next stop was for a snack, but I didn't actually take any pictures of our cider and donuts.  They were tasty though.  After a few rounds of corn hole, we went back out to the sunflower patch, which still had some beautiful blooms!

Sunflower time!

And it was at this point that Alice was ready to go.

Emily, Grace, and Juliet were not done though!

I did get a few good pictures of all five of them before we returned to the shop.

Okay, everybody smooth your hair:

Now smooth somebody else's hair:

It was about this point in the day, where we ran into Deb and her family!!!  I wasn't terribly surprised that we ran into someone we knew, since the farm was so busy!

Just a few more hay bale shots before shopping and home!

Everyone picked out one pumpkin that they liked, but they had to carry it.

Sadly, this picture doesn't have my little one in the shot (it was left in the car) nor does it have the carving that Emily and Grace did when we got back inside.  But it does have all the festive leaves!

A fun trip!  If Alice remembers next year, she will probably drive her own car, so that she doesn't have to stay for all of the pictures.  I personally can never have too many pictures of my babies. = )

The weather continues to be mild, and I am foolishly holding out  hope that this Halloween will be a warm one!
