Robotics

William has been thoroughly enjoying robotics this year.  He's on the programming team, and the team as a whole seems to apply themselves.

I've volunteered once, and I'm scheduled to help again this weekend.  

But a couple of times, I've just dropped him off and picked him up at the end.  The high school team is awesome, and I believe each Jr. High team has a High School student coach in addition to their adult coaches.

 

William's team is not at the top, nor at the bottom, but at the event above, we got to watch their team jump up like ten places in regional standings!

He has one more practice this week, then Saturday is for qualifying matches!  I'm hoping that they will do well, but as a seventh-grade team, maybe not advancing this year would temper next year?  Or maybe I don't want to spend the following weekend travelling to and from Muskegon? Of course I want them to do well, go team Black!
